Intarsio’s Kitchen Portraits series returns in an all-new edition, enriched with new settings and compositions intended to spark fresh design ideas.

The cover pays homage to the ancient artistic techniques that have adorned Italy’s most beautiful architecture and furnishings for centuries; a tradition of excellence that Intarsio embraces and reinterprets with a modern sensibility.

This project, the distinguishing feature of which is the juxtaposition of horizontal and vertical shapes created by the wood grain, reimagines this noble material, typical of traditional kitchens, to create striking optical effects.

Its minimalist lines have a strong architectural identity, which is brought into sharp relief when set within richly ornate and artful interiors, such as those of Villa Arconati, a stunning example of 18th-century Lombard Baroque style.

This magnificent setting served as the backdrop for an Intarsio composition with a unique personality, in which an austere structure was combined with a bold new lacquered finish. The project also includes solutions for the dining and living rooms, reflecting an organic and interconnected vision of interior design.

The new Intarsio catalogue offers ideas for transforming the kitchen into a unique and personalised space, establishing a dialogue between different environments in the home from every point of view: modular, functional, and aesthetic.
